Diana Deaver is a dancer and teacher and recent Chicago transplant from NYC. She is a founding company member and assistant artistic director of Adele Myers and Dancers with whom she has built and performed original works with since 1998. She is also a member of zoe | juniper and is currently touring with the highly acclaimed piece “a crack in everything.” Diana is delighted to be dancing with Kristina Isabelle and her wonderful dancers.

Marc Macaranas  from Delano, CA, graduated cum laude from the University of California, Irvine. Since 2006, he has performed in Chicago, across the US and abroad with Lucky Plush Productions, The Seldoms, DanceWorks Chicago, Luna Negra Dance Theater and RubberbanDance Group. Currently, he presents his own solo work as The Visitor(s) and is the co-founder of a line of elevated popcorn called PoshCorn.

Angela Luem (performer) received her BFA from Southern Methodist University in Dance Performance and upon graduation immediately moved to New York City where she worked as a “pick up” dancer for eight years. She then moved to Mexico City to work with Tania Perez-Salas Co. de Danza for three years. With TPS she was afforded the opportunity to dance while touring the world. During her time in Mexico she exponentially increased her collection of artisan jewelry and learned to speak Spanish. Currently she works at Pentacle as an Artist Representative and Help Desk/Chicago coordinator and teaches bi-lingual baby ballet classes at En Las Tablas Community Arts. As an Artist Representative she secures engagements  for nationally recognized dance companies booking them into venues and festivals nationally and internationally. Through Pentacle’s Help Desk/Chicago program she works with several Chicago dance companies on their infrastructure support and business development. Angela continues to dance in Chicago with Kristina Isabelle Dance and is a MegLouise collaborator.

Felicia McBride (performer) began training in classical ballet in her hometown of San Antonio, Texas. After spending one year in North Carolina Dance Theater’s trainee program, she began her professional career with Ballet Austin 2. Her journey continued a year later to Dominic Walsh Dance Theater in Houston. With DWDT she had the opportunities to perform works such as Jiri Kylian’s “27’52” and Matts Ek’s “Pas de Dance.” The company also toured to Naples, Italy and Li Galli Island. Two seasons later Felicia made her way to Chicago to dance with Hubbard Street 2. While dancing with HS2, Ms. McBride performed works by choreographers such as Alejandro Cerrudo, Penny Saunders, Maurya Kerr, Gregory Dolbashian, Edgar Zendejas, and Norbert De La Cruz all over the United States as well as abroad in Germany. Felicia has also guested in “The Nutcracker” with Les Grands Ballet Canadiens de Montreal.

Marley Schmidt (performer) is a Michigan native and has been dancing since the age of three. In April 2012 she graduated summa cum laude with a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in dance from Western Michigan University. In her years at Western she had the opportunity to work with guest artists such as Harrison McEldowney, Autumn Eckman, Lauren Edson, and Nelly Van Bommel. She was also part of the touring company Western Dance Project and performed in several student works. These pieces provided Marley with opportunities to perform at events such as Dance Chicago Festival, Oakland Dance Festival, Eat to the Beat, and ACDFA nationals in Washington, D.C. Her additional training includes a semester abroad studying dance at the Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance in London, England. Since moving to Chicago in June 2012 she has had the opportunity to study on scholarship at Lou Conte Dance Studio as well as perform in several shows and festivals including Harvest Chicago Contemporary Dance Festival, Chicago Freelance Dance Festival, Danceworks Chicago’s Dance Chance, and In here, we are whole.
