Craig Bortmas has been a resident of Columbus since March 2001.  He attended Columbus State Community College and has an AAS in Interactive Multimedia.

Craig has been actively photographing the changing face of Columbus since 2005.  In 2007 his lens turned to the finer aspects of culture when he started documenting local performance art. He enjoys the technical challenges of presenting the movement arts in still imagery, storytelling, and light.

Current projects include: God on Broad, a photo documentary about houses of worship on Columbus’ North/South divide. Walk Softly, an examination of interactions between an individual and the simplest tool that nature has given us, the stick.
Craig collaborated with Kristina Isabelle Dance on Environmental Tones and Longing Ahead, Looking Back and has photographed her performances since 2008.
