Columbus Moves: A Brief History of Contemporary Dance” was written by Jenai Cutcher West and published in 2012 by the Kristina Isabelle Dance Company.

It provides a look at the dance and community of Columbus, Ohio in the last three decades of the 20th century, focusing solely on the field of modern, or contemporary, dance. Funding for the work was provided by The Arts Initiative, The Ohio State University; Ohio Humanities Council; and Family and Friends of Maggie Patton, who herself, was a noted choreographer, director and longtime dance professor and a driving force in contemporary dance in Central Ohio.
